Lauren Pitre, PT, DPT, ATC
Physical Therapist / Clinic Director
Lauren is from Lake Charles, LA and currently serves as a practicing therapist and clinic director. She graduated with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from The University of South Alabama in 2016. Prior to USA, she graduated from McNeese State University in 2013, with a dual BS in Athletic Training and Exercise Science.
Lauren was also a collegiate softball player at both McNeese State University and Jones County Junior College. Lauren is a certified athletic trainer who is passionate about treating athletes and getting each of our clients back to their active lifestyles. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and son.
Emily Pierce, PT, DPT, MS, AIB-VR
Physical Therapist
Emily is a native of Moss Bluff who graduated with her master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from McNeese in May 2018. While she was at MSU, she received an Academic Excellence Award, served on the National Academic Honor Society for Freshmen, and was a finalist for student employee of the year. Soon after, she pursued her doctorate in physical therapy at St. Augustine in Austin, Texas and then graduated in April 2021. Emily is married, enjoys living an active lifestyle, and loves playing tennis. She offers personable and professional care and is admittedly passionate about enhancing the quality of life of all who are under her care.
Abby Bell, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Abby was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2017 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from LSU Shreveport Health Sciences Center in 2020. Following graduation, she immediately began working with children to improve their mobility, function, and level of independence. Abby has always adored babies and is now able to live her lifelong dream of working with children of all ages in the world of physical therapy.
Kalie Tate, OTD, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Kalie received her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M in 2016, her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University in 2018, and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Boston University in 2023. Kalie started her career as an occupational therapist at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston treating both pediatrics and adults.
Upon relocating to Louisiana, she began to focus on pediatrics. She is a seasoned therapist who enjoys traveling and loves the beach. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Seth, and their golden retriever, Howdy.
Fiona Smith, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech Therapist
Fiona is a speech language pathologist originally from Portland, Maine. She graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Exercise Science in 2016. Fiona attended The University of Maine, and graduated with her MA in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2020. Following graduation, she worked with children ages 3-5 in her community’s preschools and daycares. Fiona enjoys treating a variety of communication disorders of all ages.
In her free time, you can find Fiona taking walks with her dog, Pepper, or running around Prien Lake Park.
Jerrell Zeno, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Jerrell is originally from Sulphur and graduated from McNeese in 2004. He played football for McNeese and Louisiana Swashbucklers and graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy Assisting in 2017. He loves to help others and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
If you were ever blessed with the opportunity to work with Jerrell, then you know he is the life of the party, a true gentleman, and an excellent clinician.

Therapy Technicians, Students, & Interns
You may see a few other friendly faces when you visit MAXX. We often have McNeese students working around their university schedules, younger students who are considering an allied health profession and observing out therapists, and actual therapy students working towards their education. These temporary team members are being taught our standards of excellence and a culture of above and beyond service. For the short time they are with us, they too get to experience the exxtra.
